KindHarbor Children's Privacy Notice

KindHarbor is intended for parent-directed use with children.

Parent consent and control: A parent creates and owns the account, accepts this notice, and provides verifiable parental consent through an Apple in-app purchase before child chat is enabled. The parent creates child profiles and controls settings, transcript review, export, and deletion.

Child data minimization: Child profiles use nicknames and age bands instead of full names or birthdates. Parents should not enter school, address, phone number, child email, photos, voice recordings, or other identifying child information.

Use of child chat content: Child questions and AI answers are stored so the parent can review conversations, see safety events, manage message limits, and delete child data. Chat content may be processed by the server-side AI provider when production LLM mode is enabled.

Safety events: If a child asks about crisis, unsafe adult interaction, dangerous situations, personal information, or blocked topics, KindHarbor may create a safety event visible to the parent.

Parent rights: Parents can review, export, and delete child profile data in the app. Deleting a child profile removes related threads, messages, safety events, and usage rows tied to that child profile. Parents can also delete the entire parent account and all stored family data. Chat data that is not deleted sooner is automatically removed after 12 months.
